Studio

Office AIO is an interdisciplinary design practice founded in Beijing in 2014 by Tim Kwan and Isabelle Sun. Working across architecture, interiors and objects, the studio approaches every project as a specific human situation — shaped by how people actually live, eat, gather and move through space — rather than a vehicle for a fixed aesthetic.

Formed between New Zealand and China, the practice brings a cross-cultural sensibility to work that spans hospitality, residential and cultural commissions. The studio's output is compositionally confident without being self-referential, and culturally grounded without being illustrative. What holds it together across scales and typologies is a shared belief that good design begins with genuine curiosity about the people it serves — and endures because of it.
